Born to Mark & Clara Gibson of Houston, Texas & Shreveport, LA on November 17th, in Los Angeles, CA

Denise has been singing since the tender age of 6. Denise sang in concert choirs namely Revere Singers at Paul Revere Jr High School in Brentwood, CA and Concert Choir Palisades, CA. She is a proud graduate of Los Angeles Crenshaw High School. Denise, also sang in the 1973 play ‘Godspell’ at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in the late 70's. Denise was a wedding singer in the 80's and sang on Carnival Cruise line in which the host said, "Denise makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up!"

Denise has been married to Coach Willie E. West, Jr for 34 wonderful years and they relocated to the Phoenix, AZ area; Where she sang Praise & Worship at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the late Bishop Alexis Thomas. Buddy Strong (Director of Music) and Minister of music Roney Jones for 7 years and she served on the music ministry with other local churches here in the Arizona Valley. Denise was later appointed Psalmist by Bishop Dr.  Gary R Johnson Jr. of Empowered Church International, located in Queen Creek, AZ. Denise was a vocalist for the 24th Street Jazz Ensemble of South Phoenix, AZ. Denise sang at the ASU Center for the Studies of Race & Democracy and recently was appointed to co-lead Praise & Worship for the National Baptist Convention-USA in Birmingham, Alabama.

Special appearances Include: Superbowl XLIX, Gospel events, Diamondbacks National Anthem,  a host of Performing Arts Hall events. Denise's inspiration comes from:
